SLAYER: Video Interview With KERRY KING Available
February 5, 2007San Antonio-based STUF-TV cult cable show "Robb's MetalWorks" has posted its January 2007 episode featuring an interview with Kerry King of SLAYER conducted during last year's Unholy Alliance tour. Kerry discusses such topics as the return of drummer Dave Lombardo, the band's re-emergence after releasing its first new CD in five yeas, and how the children of the bandmembers relate to SLAYER. Also included in the episode are videos from MEGADETH, CELTIC FROST, NAPALM DEATH, as well as a live performance by Austin newcomers EXIT THE SUN, who feature in their ranks ex-UNLOCO drummer Pete Navarrette. As previously reported, a video clip of SLAYER performing the song "Eyes of the Insane" on ABC-TV's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on January 19, 2007 has been posted online at YouTube.com. SLAYER played a total of six tracks during their first-ever network television appearance, but only "Eyes" was broadcast in its entirety; "Jihad" was shown under the credits — only the first minute or so was broadcast. After the program had ended, SLAYER played an additional four songs — "Mandatory Suicide", "War Ensemble", "Dead Skin Mask" and "Raining Blood" — for the live audience, which was over 1,000 strong. A full report on the evening from a fan that attended the performance can be found at this location.
